🟩 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)
SureMount SSBW201W Side Clamping Speaker Wall Mounts
1️⃣ How do the speakers attach to the mounts?
The speakers are secured using the side clamping arms, which tighten firmly around the sides of the speaker cabinet. This design eliminates the need to drill holes into the speaker itself. However, optional screw holes are provided if you prefer a permanent fixing, and some users also apply high-strength Velcro for extra grip.
2️⃣ What size speakers do these mounts support?
The SSBW201W mounts are suitable for medium-sized speakers measuring 140 – 280 mm wide and up to 250 mm deep, with a maximum weight capacity of 25 kg per pair.
3️⃣ Can I adjust the angle of my speakers once mounted?
Yes — each mount offers ±7.5° of tilt and up to 45° of left- or right-swivel. This allows you to angle your speakers perfectly toward the listening position or down into a room corner for optimal sound dispersion.
4️⃣ Are the mounts suitable for corner installation?
Absolutely. The side-clamping design makes these ideal for corner mounting, where direct access to the back of the speaker isn’t possible. You can mount one bracket on each adjoining wall to create a clean, symmetrical setup.
5️⃣ Do the mounts come with everything I need to install them?
Yes. Each box includes two mounts (sold as a pair) and a complete mounting kit with wall fixings and hardware for secure installation on solid walls.
6️⃣ What colour and finish are they available in?
The SSBW201W model comes in a white powder-coated finish that blends seamlessly with most modern interiors. A black version may also be available – check the SureMount range for SSBW201B.
7️⃣ Are they compatible with all speaker brands?
Yes. These mounts are universally compatible with most medium bookshelf and surround speakers within the listed dimensions and weight capacity.

Great wall mounts for my bookshelf speakers. The speakers are sturdily secured to the wall with minimal movement or vibration when they are being played through however they do need screwing into wall studs or dwangs to get the best possible mount. They colour match the speaker cabinets therefore don’t look too bulky or out of place compared to the OEM wall mounts that cost three times what these are selling for. My speakers are sitting well forward on the mount base plate to allow space behind for the bass port to function correctly and the only real drawback with these mounts is the speakers do tend to droop forward so the bolt holding the plate needs to be very tight. This has unfortunately cracked the large plastic washers supplied in the mounting kit. These are there to help hold the base plate in place when mounting the speakers at a downward angle if mounting them high on a wall. I simply replaced these with a much more sturdy flat nylon washer which has fixed the problem so far. Overall very pleased with the result and would recommend these for small speakers up to 10kgs each.
