Despite its heavy-duty capacity, the SFSS05 positions the TV just 24 mm from the wall, creating a clean, modern, near-flush appearance.

For large-screen installations, the SFSS05 features an extra-wide wall mounting plate with fixing holes spanning up to 1155 mm. This provides installers with considerably more flexibility when positioning wall fixings and makes it easier to secure the mount across multiple wall studs where the wall construction allows.

The TV mounting arms can also slide horizontally along the wall plate, allowing the screen to be centred precisely after the bracket has been securely fixed to the wall.

For additional security, the SFSS05 incorporates the same security locking bar system as the SFSS03. Once the TV is installed, the bar slides through the mounting assembly to positively lock the TV arms onto the wall bracket. A padlock can be fitted at the end of the locking bar to help prevent unauthorised removal.

The SFSS05 supports VESA mounting patterns up to 700 × 500 mm as standard, while the included vertical extension arms increase compatibility up to 700 × 800 mm for TVs and displays with taller mounting patterns.

Depending on the stud layout and wall construction, the wide plate can provide the opportunity to secure the mount across three studs.

The wall plate does not necessarily need to be mounted perfectly symmetrically behind the TV. Once securely installed, the sliding TV mounting arms allow the screen to be repositioned horizontally to achieve the required final position.

🔧 Installer’s Tip – Use the Width of the Wall Plate

When installing a large TV, don’t focus only on centring the wall plate behind the screen.

The SFSS05 gives you up to 1155 mm of fixing-hole span, so use that width to locate the most suitable structural fixing points available.

Where the wall construction permits, fixing positions can be selected across the plate to pick up additional studs, even if those fixing points are not perfectly symmetrical.

Once the wall plate is securely installed, the TV can then be slid horizontally along the bracket to achieve the desired final position.

This gives the installer the flexibility to prioritise secure structural fixing first and precise TV positioning second.

🔒 Securely Locks the TV to the Bracket

Once the TV has been hung and positioned, the SFSS05’s horizontal security locking bar slides through the bottom of the mounting assembly, positively locking the TV mounting arms to the wall bracket.

The bar incorporates a retaining tab at one end, meaning it can only be withdrawn in one direction.

At the opposite end is a padlock hole, allowing a padlock to be fitted to prevent the locking bar from being removed.

This provides two benefits:

The TV cannot simply be lifted upwards and removed from the wall bracket once the locking bar is engaged.

✔ Theft deterrence
Adding a padlock helps prevent unauthorised removal of the TV.

🔌 Installer’s Tip – Allow for Cable Clearance

The 24 mm super-slim profile gives the SFSS05 its clean appearance, but there is limited space behind the TV for cables and connectors.

Before installation, check the location and direction of the TV’s:

• HDMI connections
• Power connection
• Aerial connection
• Network connection
• Other AV inputs

Where appropriate, right-angle connectors or recessed wall outlets can make installation considerably easier.

Suitable spacers may also be used between the TV and the upper mounting points of the bracket where appropriate for the TV and installation. This can provide a small amount of additional cable clearance while introducing a very slight forward angle.
