SureMount 23″–50″ Single Stud Full Motion TV Wall Mount (SCL02L)
The SureMount SCL02L is a compact single-stud full motion TV wall mount designed for small to medium televisions where flexible positioning, substantial reach and larger VESA compatibility are required.
Based on the SCL02, the SCL02L uses the same compact full motion bracket but includes SADAPTOR6 VESA extension arms, increasing the maximum mounting pattern from 200×200mm to 400×400mm. This makes it suitable for a wider range of televisions without requiring a larger wall mounting system.
With up to 514mm of extension from the wall, the SCL02L allows the television to be pulled forward and swivelled towards different viewing positions before folding back to approximately 80mm from the wall when not required.
Its narrow 57 × 190mm wall plate is designed for single-stud mounting, making the bracket particularly useful in bedrooms, retirement village units, care facilities, offices and other installations where mounting space is limited or the television needs to be repositioned for different viewing locations.

📐 TV Compatibility
Before ordering the SCL02L, check the following against your television:
- Recommended TV size: 23″–50″
- Maximum TV weight: 35kg
- VESA: 75×75mm to 400×400mm
- Maximum extension: Approx. 514mm
- Retracted depth: Approx. 80mm
- Wall plate: 57 × 190mm
TV screen size should be treated as a guide. Weight and VESA mounting pattern are the most important compatibility measurements.
The SADAPTOR6 arms extend the mounting range of the underlying SCL02 bracket, but do not increase its 35kg maximum load capacity.
📏 Installation & Adjustment
- Maximum extension from wall: Approx. 514mm
- Retracted depth: Approx. 80mm
- Tilt: +5° to -12°
- Maximum TV weight: 35kg
- Wall plate: 57 × 190mm
- Maximum VESA: 400×400mm
- Mounting type: Single stud
- SADAPTOR6 extension arms: Included
- Construction: Steel
The actual amount of swivel available will depend on the width of the television, its VESA mounting-hole position and surrounding clearance.
Because the SCL02L can extend the television more than half a metre from the wall, secure structural fixing is particularly important.
🏠 Where Does the SCL02L Work Best?
The SCL02L is particularly useful where you need a combination of a compact wall fixing, substantial extension and compatibility with larger TV VESA patterns.
Typical applications include:
- Retirement village units and care facilities
- Bedrooms
- Kitchens and open-plan living spaces
- Offices and meeting rooms
- Corner installations
- Alcoves and recessed TV positions
- Installations where only a single structural stud is conveniently positioned
- Rooms where the TV needs to be turned towards different viewing positions
I think the retirement/care application is worth mentioning here, particularly given how these mounts are actually being used.
🆚 SCL02, SCL02L or SCL03XL?
The SCL02 and SCL02L use the same core full motion bracket, providing the same 514mm maximum extension, 35kg load capacity and compact single-stud wall plate.
The difference is the TV mounting interface.
The SCL02L includes SADAPTOR6 extension arms, increasing VESA compatibility from the SCL02‘s 200×200mm maximum to 400×400mm.
| Model | VESA Support | Maximum Reach | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| SCL02 | 75×75–200×200mm | 514mm | Smaller TVs that don’t require extension arms |
| SCL02L | 75×75–400×400mm | 514mm | TVs requiring larger VESA patterns while retaining the compact SCL02 mechanism |
| SCL03XL | Larger TV/VESA capability | Longer reach | Larger TVs or installations requiring substantially greater extension |
Choose the SCL02 if:
Your television is compatible with VESA up to 200×200mm. There’s no reason to add the larger extension arms if they aren’t required.
Choose the SCL02L if:
You want the compact size and 514mm reach of the SCL02, but your television requires a VESA mounting pattern larger than 200×200mm and up to 400×400mm.
Choose the SCL03XL if:
You have a larger television or require substantially more reach than the SCL02/SCL02L provides.

❓ FAQs – 23″–50″ Single Stud Full Motion TV Wall Mount (SCL02L)
1️⃣ What size TVs does the SCL02L fit?
The SCL02L is designed for most 23″–50″ televisions weighing up to 35kg and using a compatible VESA mounting pattern.
Screen size is only a guide. Always check your television’s weight and VESA dimensions before ordering.
2️⃣ What VESA mounting patterns does the SCL02L support?
The SCL02L supports VESA mounting patterns from 75×75mm through to 400×400mm.
The larger mounting patterns are accommodated by the supplied SADAPTOR6 extension arms.
3️⃣ What’s the difference between the SCL02 and SCL02L?
The core TV mount is the same.
The standard SCL02 supports VESA patterns up to 200×200mm, while the SCL02L includes SADAPTOR6 extension arms, increasing maximum VESA compatibility to 400×400mm.
Both have the same 35kg maximum load and 514mm maximum extension.
4️⃣ Are the SADAPTOR6 extension arms included?
Yes.
The SCL02L is supplied with the SADAPTOR6 extension arms. You don’t need to purchase them separately.
5️⃣ Do the SADAPTOR6 arms increase the weight capacity?
No.
The extension arms increase the VESA mounting range, not the load capacity.
The maximum television weight remains 35kg.
6️⃣ How far does the SCL02L extend from the wall?
The SCL02L extends out to approximately 514mm from the wall and retracts to approximately 80mm.
This provides substantial positioning flexibility while retaining a relatively compact bracket.
7️⃣ Can I swivel the TV left and right?
Yes.
The articulated arm allows the television to swivel towards different viewing positions.
The actual angle available depends on the width of the television and surrounding clearance.
8️⃣ Can I tilt the television?
Yes.
The SCL02L provides approximately +5° upward to -12° downward tilt adjustment, allowing the viewing angle to be fine-tuned.
9️⃣ Can I use the SCL02L in a corner?
Yes.
The combination of 514mm extension and wide swivel movement makes it particularly useful for corner installations or rooms where the television needs to face more than one viewing area.
🔟 Is the SCL02L suitable for retirement villages and care facilities?
Yes.
Its long reach and full motion adjustment allow a television to be repositioned towards a bed, chair or other viewing location, while the compact single-stud wall plate can simplify installation where wall mounting space is limited.
TV size, wall structure and the individual installation requirements should always be checked before installation.
1️⃣1️⃣ Does the SCL02L need to be mounted to a timber stud?
For timber-framed walls, the 57 × 190mm wall plate should be securely attached to suitable structural timber.
It should not be mounted directly to plasterboard or drywall alone.
1️⃣2️⃣ Can it be installed onto concrete or masonry?
Yes.
The SCL02L can be installed onto suitable solid concrete or masonry using appropriate fixings.
The wall and fixings must be capable of supporting the television and mount, including the additional leverage generated when the TV is fully extended.
1️⃣3️⃣ Is the SCL02L suitable for regularly repositioning the TV?
Yes.
The full motion design is intended to allow the television to be extended, swivelled and tilted when required.
When repositioning the TV, move it smoothly using both hands where practical, rather than pulling heavily on one corner of the screen.
1️⃣4️⃣ When should I choose the SCL03XL instead?
Choose the SCL03XL when you require a mount designed for a larger television or substantially greater extension.
If the SCL02 meets your requirements for reach and load capacity and you simply need VESA compatibility up to 400×400mm, the SCL02L is likely to be the more compact solution.
