SureMount Extendable Wall Projector Mount – 255–310mm Extension (SPWM04W)

The SureMount SPWM04W is an extendable wall-mounted projector bracket designed for installations where ceiling mounting isn’t practical or suitable.

Ideal for concrete or feature ceilings, retrofit installations, classrooms, meeting rooms and rear-wall projector setups, the SPWM04W allows the projector to be securely mounted from a suitable wall while maintaining a clean, professional installation.

The wall arm provides an adjustable extension of 255mm to 310mm, allowing the projector position to be fine-tuned during installation.

The universal mounting system uses independently adjustable arms that can be configured for 3-point or 4-point projector mounting patterns, while ±30° projector angle adjustment allows the final position to be fine-tuned for accurate image alignment.

Because the mounting height is fixed once installed, carefully determine the required projector height and position before fixing the wall plate.

🔍 Which Projector Mount Do I Need?

The SPWM04 is the wall-mounted alternative in the SureMount projector mount range.

It’s particularly useful where ceiling mounting isn’t practical, such as installations with difficult ceiling construction, feature ceilings or situations where a suitable rear wall provides a better mounting location.

Unlike the SPM02–SPM05 ceiling mounts, the SPWM04‘s adjustment changes the projector’s distance from the wall rather than its height.

1️⃣ When should I use the SPWM04W instead of a ceiling projector mount?

The SPWM04W is designed for installations where mounting the projector from the ceiling isn’t practical or desirable.

It can be particularly useful where:

• The ceiling isn’t suitable for mounting
• You have a concrete or feature ceiling
• Ceiling access is difficult
• A suitable structural rear wall is available
• A wall-mounted installation provides a cleaner solution

2️⃣ Will the SPWM04W fit my projector?

The SPWM04W uses independently adjustable mounting arms and is compatible with a wide range of LCD and DLP projectors.

Your projector must weigh 15kg or less, and its mounting holes must fall within the adjustable range of the mounting arms.

The standard arms provide a spread of up to 320mm, which can be increased to 380mm using the separately available SMPLW Projector Mount Extension Feet.

3️⃣ Does my projector need four mounting holes?

No.

The SPWM04W can be configured using either three or four mounting arms, allowing it to suit projectors with different mounting arrangements.

4️⃣ How far does the projector extend from the wall?

The SPWM04W provides an adjustable wall extension of 255mm to 310mm.

The extension should be set during installation to achieve the required projector position.

5️⃣ Can I adjust the projector angle?

Yes.

The projector mounting assembly provides up to ±30° of angle adjustment, allowing the projector to be levelled and aligned with the screen.

No.

The SPWM04W allows adjustment of the projector’s distance from the wall, but the vertical mounting height is determined by the position of the wall plate.

The correct installation height should therefore be established before fixing the mount to the wall.

7️⃣ What type of wall can the SPWM04W be installed onto?

The mount must be securely attached to a suitable structural wall surface capable of supporting the combined weight of the projector and mount.

It should not be attached to plasterboard or other non-structural wall linings alone.

Where you’re unsure about the wall construction or suitable fixings, we recommend using an experienced installer.

8️⃣ Is the SPWM04W suitable for side projection?

The SPWM04W is primarily designed for installations where the projector is mounted from a suitable wall and correctly aligned with the screen.

If the projector is positioned significantly off-centre, image correction will depend on the capabilities of the projector itself, such as horizontal keystone correction or lens shift.

Where possible, positioning the projector in line with the screen will generally provide the best result.

9️⃣ What if my projector mounting holes are wider than the standard arms can accommodate?

If your projector requires a wider mounting spread, the separately available SMPLW Projector Mount Extension Feet can be fitted to the SPWM04W.

The SMPLW extension feet increase the maximum arm spread from 320mm to 380mm and are supplied as a set of four.
